The Evening/Weekend Member Services Representative serves as a lead MSR and is responsible for monitoring the facility for safety and cleaning concerns during evening and weekend hours and resolve issues in a timely fashion.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Serve as role model to members and Y staff and at all times live the mission, vision, and values of the YMCA movement.
  2. Greet members/visitors in a warm, welcoming manner while providing informational services and directs individuals to the proper person or location, answer incoming calls, process membership and program sales registration and payment.
  3. Receive and resolve member complaints according to Membership Best Practices
  4. Ensure gate access is being monitored.
  5. Provide exceptional tours of the facility according to Membership Best Practices.
  6. Maintain clean, orderly and welcoming reception and lobby areas, perform incidental clerical and custodial work and other jobs as assigned by management staff.
  7. Monitor and check the entire facility, entrance and parking lot for trash, unsupervised/underage youth, ensure basketball rims are at appropriate height, check towels, soap and paper products.
  8. Able to perform closing procedures for the branch.
  9. Know the emergency procedures and location of emergency equipment.
  10. Participate in and solicit others to participate in necessary YMCA financial development efforts, specifically the Annual Campaign.
  11. Maintain certifications listed under Certificates and Other Requirements.
  12. Adherence to all policies and procedures of Scott County Family Y and regular and timely adherence to respective schedule/meetings.
  13. All other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. One or more years as Member Services Representative preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be able to pass background check
  2. CPR /AED/First Aid Certification*
  3. Must be able to pass CCC training*

 

*Note: If not currently certified, must obtain certification within 30 days of hire. All the above certification training programs are available at SCFY.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and repetitive motions. This position is expected to be able to perform essential and related functions of the position which can generally be described as light work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.  The noise level in the work environment can vary from quiet to moderate during office hours and moderate to loud during event hours.  This position works in a combined environment of office setting and fitness facility.  This position can work varied hours depending upon status.
